Fin Collectors are a three-position rotary type stacker for powered index. Also, single blower and shroud for vacuum system – for aluminum fins only.
Our standard construction for ribbon-type fin dies is a manually operated twin shuttle. This design type has proven to be most efficient in operation; it requires the minimum floor space and is of moderate cost. TRIDAN® also offers automatic power driven collector units.

Fin Collector Features
Both the gravity drop-type and the automatic vacuum unit provide excellent quality. Quality of fin collection after cutoff. In addition, the vacuum unit functions such that, at cutoff and automatic vacuum bypass, the fins are mechanically assisted in clearing onto the collector unit stacker pins.
The twin shuttle units may be designed to index in a swing arc, in a full 360° rotation. Also, with a reciprocating type available upon request. The most desirable shuttle operational type will be largely determined by the maximum fin length capacity of the particular collector unit. Each type of system is designed in such a manner that the in-service collector rack is positively and accurately latched into the correct stacking position.
The collector racks and pins are designed for rapid changeover as required by differing fin patterns, fin lengths and fin row depths.
The complete FIN COLLECTOR & VACUUM UNIT is built as a movable unit to facilitate fin die removal and installation at the front of the press. It is mounted on heavy-duty rollers with the front rollers casters. Also in service, the unit bolts to the lower die shoe and the air and electrical connections are quick-connect.
